The VISTA Collaborative is bringing Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week to Morgantown Nov. 20 at 123 Pleasant Street for the "Fighting Hunger in Almost Heaven" Benefit Concert featuring musical acts from local favorites Tanagra, Nae Paugh Official, Intoxicated Zen and The Spiritual Underground.
WVU will host a Family Holiday Celebration Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Vandalia Lounge on the first floor of the Mountainlair. Children (ages 2-10) of the University’s regular full-time and part-time employees, as well as children of graduate assistants are invited to story time read by the Mountaineer and a chance to visit with Santa. Refreshments will be provided.
Encourage your students to attend our last Life Hacks workshop of the semester, How Self-Kindness Can Build Resilience When You Need It Most, Wednesday (Nov. 20) from 7-8 p.m. in the Mountainlair Mountaineer Room.
Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and make some snowflakes to prepare for the upcoming snowy season Sunday (Nov. 17) from 2-4 p.m at The Art Museum of WVU. The “Snow Much Fun!” family event is inspired by the Museum’s newest exhibition, Cut Up/Cut Out.
