Faculty, staff and students who work in the field of prevention are invited to submit proposals for 50-minute breakout sessions and poster presentations at the third annual Prevention Summit slated for Friday, Sept. 27, in the Mountainlair.

The celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today (Aug. 30) in front of the Mountainlair as WVU gets ready to take on Penn State in Saturday’s Stripe the Stadium game.
Former Mountaineer kicker and NFL pro Pat McAfee will host the show live from the Downtown area of campus today (Aug. 30). The show will be staged from noon to 3 p.m. outside the Life Sciences Building, and air from noon to 2 p.m. on ESPN2 and from 2-3 p.m. on YouTube.
Alumna Grace Campbell and her band will open for the Plain White T’s beginning at 7 p.m. tonight (Aug. 30) at the Ruby Amphitheater in Morgantown. The Ruby Summer Concert Series is free to the public. The season will close out with a fireworks show.
The WVU Purpose Center will offer a variety of workshops this fall to help faculty and staff learn more about their strengths and how to use them to reach goals.
One of the biggest rivalries in college athletics will be making its way to the virtual gridiron this season, as WVU Esports partners with the University of Pittsburgh to play the Backyard Brawl on EA Sports College Football 25. Student player registration is open through Sunday (Sept. 1).
