The WVU Benefits Strategy team invites all employees to attend the upcoming Health Savings Account webinar “Understanding Health Savings Accounts” from noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow (April 8).

Ongoing strategic investments in student success are continuing to show results with the University’s Fall 2024 to Spring 2025 projected first-time freshmen retention rate setting a record of 93.8%. The rate was reported during the WVU Board of Governors meeting on Friday (April 4).

A University tradition continues with Cade Kincaid formally accepting the role of the Mountaineer mascot during a symbolic rifle passing ceremony Friday (April 4) at the Mountainlair, marking the end of Braden Adkins’ era as the Mountaineer.

Impact Awards  

As part of the University’s commitment to recognizing employees through a variety of programs, the WVU Impact Awards will shine a spotlight on employees across the WVU System whose commitment to excellence has made a lasting impact on the University.

Edward Brzostek  

Edward Brzostek, associate professor of biology in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, has been named the Benedum Distinguished Scholar in recognition of the high caliber of his research and scholarly activity in the category of biosciences and health sciences.
