Led by a team at WVU, the Resilient Energy Technology and Infrastructure Consortium is a finalist for the $160 million National Science Foundation Regional Innovation Engines award, funding that is expected to drive more than $1 billion in economic growth across the region.

“We’re seeking initial investors now and will be encouraging anyone who wants to be part of the future of West Virginia University to support our efforts during the Day of Giving on March 25,” President Michael T. Benson said. He talked about Day of Giving during Friday’s (Feb. 20) Board of Governors meeting at the Erickson Alumni Center.

Amina Anderson, assistant director of the ADVANCE Center, will lead a discussion on “The Utility of Hope as Practice, Not Platitude in Times of Crisis” at 4 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 25) in the Downtown Library, Milano Reading Room.
