Tanner Cloce, a senior physical education and kinesiology major, has been named a 2024 Society of Health and Physical Educators America Major of the Year — one of the highest national honors for undergraduate students in the field. The award recognizes academic excellence, strong leadership and a deep commitment to service.

Sophomore Lily Haught finished first in the women’s 400 meters after posting a personal best time of 55.03 seconds Saturday (April 5) at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia. In the 4x400 meter relay, sophomores Cate Pickering, Lily Haught and Kishay Rowe, and freshman Carlene Temple claimed first with a time of 3:46.43.
The baseball team swept a doubleheader from Utah Saturday (April 5) at Kendrick Family Ballpark and, as a result, swept the series. The Mountaineers took game one, 6-4, before winning 14-4 in eight innings in the second game.
