A new peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Appalachian Health shows statistically significant improvements in depression, anxiety and life satisfaction among women and girls who participated in intervention provided by the Libera program. The research was led by Elizabeth Claydon, associate professor in the School of Public Health.

Junior Sam White was named to the first team with redshirt senior Griffin Kirn and graduate student Jack Kartsonas earning spots on the second team. White is the 36th Mountaineer in program history to be named to the first team while Kirn and Kartsonas bring the number of second teamers to 27.
