The Provost invites faculty, staff, students and alumni to consider nominating exceptional people who have made outstanding contributions to their field and society. The goal is to find a robust pool of candidates who represent a diverse range of ideas, expertise and lived experiences.

The Provost’s Office will hold two virtual self-study preparation sessions for deans, directors, chairs and faculty who are involved in preparing self studies for this summer's program reviews identified in Academic Transformation. The sessions, hosted by Associate Provost Lou Slimak and other members of the Provost's Office, will be held Wednesday (July 19) and July 27 on Zoom.
The Office of the Provost is accepting candidate nominations for honorary doctoral degrees to be awarded at commencement exercises in May 2024. Nomination packets are due by Friday, Oct. 6.
As part of the University’s larger Academic Transformation efforts and increased focus on student success, the Office of the Provost has appointed Kayla Follmer to serve as the University’s first graduate student ombudsperson for the 2023-24 academic year.
"HLC Accreditation Criterion 2 — Integrity: Ethical and Responsible Conduct" will take place at 1:30 p.m. Friday (April 14) at the College of Law, Room 142. All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend this event, part of a series, regardless of their level of familiarity with the reaccreditation process.
