The Provost’s Office will hold virtual appeal process support sessions for deans, directors, chairs and faculty who would like to discuss the program review appeal process on Tuesday (Aug. 15) and Monday, Aug. 21.
The Provost’s Office distributed the preliminary recommendations, including the number of faculty positions that should be retained in each department, on Thursday (Aug. 10) to deans and chairs following the program portfolio review process. All affected faculty should be notified no later than 2 p.m. today (Aug. 11). This is part of the University’s focus on Academic Transformation to better position WVU to meet the needs of our students, our communities and our industries.
To enhance the graduate education experience for faculty, staff and students, the Office of Graduate Education and Life has redesigned many of its communications channels, including the graduateeducation.wvu.edu website, newsletter and social media platforms.
The Office of the Provost has provided several points of clarification regarding the self-study process, and updates were made to the form based on feedback from academic deans, chairs, program leaders, Faculty Senate leaders and faculty members. A final virtual preparation session was set for today (July 27).
The Provost’s Office will hold a virtual self-study preparation session from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday (July 27) for deans, directors, chairs and faculty who are involved in preparing self studies for this summer's program reviews identified in Academic Transformation. Participants can join the open forum via Zoom to address questions about strategy for their responses or the self-study form itself.
