The WVU Cancer Institute is one of several sites nationwide that participated in a groundbreaking clinical research study of a novel drug proven very effective in the treatment of pediatric and adult cancers that carry a specific genetic mutation. Patrick Ma, MD, principal investigator of the Cancer Institute study, co-authored an article about the drug in the New England Journal of Medicine.

The results are in for the "All Clear for the New Year" program: In total, WVU collected and recycled more than 24 total tons of material through the program. Confidential material comprised approximately 75% of this total, and these documents were shredded at PACE. The remaining material included bulk paper items, such as books, which were recycled at Resolute Forest Products in Fairmont.
