The WVU Cancer Institute is one of several sites nationwide that participated in a groundbreaking clinical research study of a novel drug proven very effective in the treatment of pediatric and adult cancers that carry a specific genetic mutation. Patrick Ma, MD, principal investigator of the Cancer Institute study, co-authored an article about the drug in the New England Journal of Medicine.

 

Information Technology Services is bringing non-critical systems back online now that the HVAC system in One Waterfront Place is at an acceptable level. This process will take a few hours. We continue to work with Facilities and outside vendors as needed to permanently resolve the issues.

 

The results are in for the "All Clear for the New Year" program: In total, WVU collected and recycled more than 24 total tons of material through the program. Confidential material comprised approximately 75% of this total, and these documents were shredded at PACE. The remaining material included bulk paper items, such as books, which were recycled at Resolute Forest Products in Fairmont.
