The Morgantown Police Department will begin altering traffic patterns today (Dec. 4) at 5:30 p.m. for the annual Christmas Parade. Parking will be restricted on High, Prospect and North High Streets beginning at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., on High Street.

Professors Gordon Tait and Belinda Carpenter will provide a presentation open to faculty, staff and students.The presentation, “Suicide Determination, Comparative Statistics and the Complexities of Coronial Practice,” will be Dec. 13 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in 1909 HSC North.
The event will feature the riveting film “Polytechnique” and a memorial for the 14 women at 2 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre in the Mountainlair. It is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Research Center on Violence and the Violence Research and Awareness Association.

The Winter Lights Buffet takes place Dec. 8 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Breakfast with Santa is on Dec. 16 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Both events will be held in the historic Mount Vernon Dining Hall at West Virginia University Jackson’s Mill near Weston. No reservations are needed.
