Morgantown traffic to be altered for tonight’s Christmas Parade

The Morgantown Police Department will begin altering traffic patterns today (Dec. 4) at 5:30 p.m. for the annual Christmas Parade.

Parking will be restricted on High, Prospect and North High Streets beginning at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., on High Street.

Traffic in the downtown area will be restricted during the parade. Traffic will be detoured from Willey Street onto Prospect Street then up Price Street to Fife Street and down North High Street, turning right onto Maiden Lane to College Avenue then back onto University Avenue. Officers will be at the intersections to assist with traffic.

Any motorists wishing to avoid the detour may travel on College Avenue from Willey Street to University Avenue.
