Help celebrate the start of the new academic year by welcoming our students to campus during Welcome Week, starting Aug. 13 as students begin moving into their residence halls. The move-in process will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 13-15.
Welcome Week events are designed to help students meet others, explore campus, find community, and get ready for the fall semester.
Featured events include the following:
Saturday, Aug. 15
WVUp All Night for all students at the Mountainlair.
10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Sunday, Aug. 16
Student Organization Fair for all students at Student Rec Center.
2-4 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 16
Sunday Night Lights for first-year students at Milan Puskar Stadium.
7-10 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 17
Mountaineer Midway and Movie Night sponsored by Coca-Cola on the lawn of the Life Sciences Building for all students plus faculty and staff and their families.
6-10 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 18
First day of classes!

The PRT will operate with special hours during Welcome Week.
- Aug. 13: 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Aug. 14: 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Aug. 15-16: 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Aug. 17: 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Ask Us Anything tents will be open from Aug. 13-21 at the Mountainlair and Student Rec Center, and from Aug. 17-20 at the Health Sciences Center. Staff members at the tents will be able to answer questions from students and other members of the University community.
