The Student Events Board and Mountaineer Week are sponsoring a drive for The Rack Wednesday (Oct. 24) from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., across from the Mountainlair in the brick area, weather permitting, or inside the Mountainlair if not.
The Exercise Physiology Club is coordinating Morgantown's first Zombie Run/Walk Saturday (Oct. 27). The event begins at 6 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum parking lot near the Core Arboretum entrance. Registration ends at 5 p.m. Saturday; on-site registration is accepted. The race fee is $25, plus a $2.50 sign-up fee.
Volunteers will meet at Hazel Ruby McQuain Amphitheater and spend time cleaning up Adventure WV's adopted section of the Rail Trail from 3 - 6 p.m. Nov. 5. This will entail picking up trash and recyclables, as well as sprucing up the area by moving downed branches, etc. Enjoy a relaxing evening spent along the river.
Representatives of the WVU Office of Sustainability will host campus sustainability tours this week. These student ambassadors (Eco Reps) will provide unique, short, 30-minute walking tours that will highlight some of the campus sustainability features and efforts made on the downtown campus.
Student volunteers will work together to spruce up trails within Coopers Rock State Forest, one of the most popular recreations areas in West Virginia, Nov. 3 and 4 from 1-5 p.m.
