“Women and Water,” an exhibit featuring artwork collected and created by West Virginia women active in the fields of water policy and advocacy, will be on display at the Downtown Campus Library from March 4 to April 30 in conjunction with the WVU Libraries’ year-long “WATER” exhibit and Women’s History Month.
The Special Olympics West Virginia Basketball Tournament will be held at the WVU Recreation center March 16 and 17. Volunteer your time as a scorekeeper, timekeeper, basketball skills assistant, cheerleading judge or help pass out meals or just come by to cheer on the athletes.
West Virginia University faculty, staff and students are invited to join an open conversation today (Feb. 28) at noon at the Okey Patteson Auditorium at the Health Sciences Center on House Bill 2519, which commonly is referred to as “campus carry.” The bill, which would permit concealed weapons to be carried in designated areas on campus by concealed weapons license holders, is making its way through the West Virginia Legislature and advanced last night out of the House of Delegates and will now be considered by the Senate.
Sixteen talented teams featuring faculty, staff and students will compete with the hopes of winning Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars 2019 Saturday (March 2) at 7:30 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. Doors open at 7 p.m.
