West Virginia University will move in-person instruction on the Morgantown campus online until noon Monday (Feb. 1) due to inclement weather and road conditions. Classes already offered online and those in hybrid form will also continue as planned. Students on clinical rotations should check in with their program directors for additional guidance. The remainder of the University, including dining and COVID-19 testing, will operate on a normal schedule.

To support WVU’s planning efforts for how we may operate in a post-COVID-19 world, the Division of Talent and Culture and the Office of the Provost recently conducted a Remote Work Pulse Survey.
The Division of Talent and Culture will roll out WVU’s 2020 performance review process on Monday (Feb. 1) for classified and non-classified staff and certain FE/AP employees. The 2020 performance review period will cover July 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2020.
Employees will notice many improvements and some important functionality fixes to the Applaud system after our normal maintenance period for MAP and Applaud 12:01 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31.
The federal government has approved new emergency funding amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II as authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, West Virginia University will be distributing approximately $10,000,000 in emergency grants to eligible students.
The Carruth Center for Psychological and Psychiatric Services is accepting new members for a variety of process, support and skills-based virtual therapy groups for students on the Autism spectrum, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+ students and women.
