Nominations are being sought for the Fall 2021 cohort of WVU’s Presidential Student Ambassadors Program, which selects 10 freshmen or sophomores from the Morgantown campus who exemplify Mountaineer values and are committed to academic excellence and campus engagement.

WVU is committed to protecting youth and has launched its latest online Child Abuse Prevention training for faculty, staff, students and volunteers. This training focuses on healthy boundaries and relationships with minors, recognizing abuse and neglect, reporting responsibilities and requirements.
Faculty, researchers, staff and students will be unable to log into many important systems and services requiring WVU Login credentials from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28 during critical updates to the single sign-on system.
West Virginia University has made several updates to its COVID-19 procedures after reviewing the latest COVID-19 numbers on the Morgantown campus and within Monongalia County. The following updates are based on the current COVID-19 situation and are subject to further change throughout the remainder of the semester. The University will continue to closely monitor the local situation and will make necessary changes based on what is in the best interest for the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and local community.
West Virginia University will continue remote instruction for the Morgantown campus the remainder of Thursday (Feb. 18) due to inclement weather and road conditions. Classes already offered online and those in hybrid form will also continue as planned. Students on clinical rotations should check in with their program directors for additional guidance. The remainder of the University, including Libraries, dining, buses and COVID-19 testing will operate on a normal schedule. Those who are unable to make it to the COVID-19 vaccination clinics or need to adjust their appointment time should contact covidvaccine@mail.wvu.edu as soon as possible. The vaccination team may also reach out to reschedule appointments.
A partnership between WVU and two major U.S. food corporations — Kroger Mid-Atlantic and Kraft Heinz — will supply The Rack: Student Food Pantry, allowing students to have affordable and nutritious meals. In the effort to upgrade and support the relocation of the pantry, announced Wednesday (Feb. 17), Kroger contributed more than $50,000 in cash and equipment while Kraft Heinz donated more than $10,000 in cash, food items and coolers.
