Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Meshea L. Poore continues her weekly series of short videos, exploring topics centered on helping members of the WVU community live, learn and work together with care and respect for each other.
This week’s video, released March 2, addresses equity.
“Equity is not about just treating everyone the same because not everyone needs the same thing to be successful,” Poore said. “Everyone is not starting from the same place and everyone doesn’t have the same level of support.”
The Let’s Talk series, with a new video each Tuesday, will address a diversity of topics, including food security, cultural appropriation, and intersectionality.
