The golf team shot a team score of 280 for eight-under-par in the third round, the lowest round score in its Big 12 Championship history, Tuesday (April 23) at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. The fourth and final round begins this morning (April 24).

Following his victory at the Mountaineer Invitational, sophomore Carson Kammann with the golf team has been selected as the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week.
The golf team will compete in the Big 12 Golf Championship starting today (April 22) at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. Playing for the Mountaineers are senior Jackson Davenport, juniors Todd Duncan, Max Green and Pierce Grieve, and sophomores Kaleb Wilson and Carson Kammann (substitute).
With the track and field team serving as host, Saturday’s (April 20) Mountaineer Twilight — held at the Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park — was highlighted by a Mountaineer sweep in the women's 800 meter with redshirt senior Mikenna Vanderheyden finishing in first place, and a pair of first place finishes for freshman Lily Haught in the women’s 200 and 400 meters.
The baseball team is back on the road this weekend for a three-game series at Texas Tech. First pitch is 7:30 p.m. tonight (April 19), 3 p.m. Saturday (April 20) and 2 p.m. Sunday (April 21) in Lubbock, Texas.
Riggs has led the Mountaineers since 2007. He coached 37 NCAA qualifiers, 15 NCAA All-Americans, 19 Academic All-Americans, eight Big 12 Scholar-Athletes of the Year and 21 qualifiers for the Olympic Trials.
