Griffin Kirn, who made 18 appearances on the mound for the Mountaineers with 17 starts going 5-3 with a 3.36 ERA and 103 strikeouts in 99.0 innings pitched, and becoming just the 15th Mountaineer to record 100 strikeouts in a season, has been named a Third Team All-American by the NCBWA.

Assistant wide receivers coach Ryan Nehlen recently ran a fast enough time in the Buffalo Marathon to qualify for the 2026 Boston Marathon.
Junior Sam White was named to the first team with redshirt senior Griffin Kirn and graduate student Jack Kartsonas earning spots on the second team. White is the 36th Mountaineer in program history to be named to the first team while Kirn and Kartsonas bring the number of second teamers to 27.
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has added UT-Martin, VMI, Youngstown State, Akron and Rhode Island to its future Mountaineer home game schedules.

The baseball team saw its season come to a close Sunday (June 8) as the Mountaineers fell to No. 6 LSU, 12-5, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. WVU finishes the season with a 44-16 record.
