Joe Martin, who earned his degrees in broadcast news and sport management from WVU and serves as the lead golf director for NBC Sports, has turned the University’s athletics video production unit into one of the network’s farm teams for the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club.

Senior Natalie Perrin, sophomores Maximus Duncan and Lauri Syrja, and freshman Jennifer Kocher were named to the 2025 Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Scholastic All-America team.

Seniors Brodie Kresser and Reese Bassinger, and junior Logan Sauve with the baseball team were all named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators. Bassinger is an All-America finalist and will advance to the national ballot.

More than 100 former football players returned to campus to attend coach Rich Rodriguez’s first alumni picnic at Milan Puskar Stadium. The activities were part of his desire to get former players from all eras reconnected with their alma mater in a relaxed atmosphere.
