Leadership and Organization Development of Talent and Culture encourages WVU people leaders and staff to invest in their development with a new live webinar. JD Williams, of JD Williams Training, will take the lead during this one-time live webinar “Developing Assertiveness & Self-Confidence in the Workplace” March 30 from 11 a.m. to noon.
The WVU Humanities Center will host a workshop for faculty members on the value of Humanistic STEM learning in academia Friday (Feb. 4) at noon via Zoom. Due to inclement weather and air travel concerns, the center will offer the workshop as a Zoom-only, rather than as a hybrid event.
WVU Art in the Libraries will host a virtual event titled “Food Justice in Appalachia: Artists’ Perspectives” Feb. 11 at noon. This event, in conjunction with the actual exhibition currently on display in the Downtown Library, Room 1020, will allow featured artists to discuss their work, followed by a moderated panel discussion with a Q-and-A.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to register for the Adventure WV climbing competition Sunday, Feb. 20, at the Student Recreation Center. A Student Recreation Center membership is not required and climbers of all skill levels are encouraged to compete.
