Employee Appreciation Day is Friday, March 4, and to celebrate, the WVU STAR Team is planning three “Appreciation Stations” on the Morgantown campus for WVU employees to destress, relax and enjoy.
In celebration of Black History Month, WVU is one of 63 universities selected to screen the documentary film “The Loyola Project,” which is presented by Northwestern Mutual and features the Loyola Ramblers of Chicago who broke racial barriers and changed college basketball forever. The Office of Student Success will host this screening Thursday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theatre.
WVU Outdoor Recreation Center, in collaboration with the Coopers Rock Foundation, will hold the 10th Coopers Rock WinterFest Saturday (Feb. 12) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participation is free.
National Eating Disorders Awareness Week is Feb. 21-27, a yearly event dedicated to spreading the message of hope and building awareness around eating disorders. Throughout the month, WVU Dining Services and WVU Collegiate Recovery are partnering to offer help and support.
The panel will be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 6-7:30 p.m. to help inform the WVU community of the current resources and services available for women and families, as well as the potential impact pending legislation and court rulings may have on existing state laws.
