This panel will be held virtually via Zoom today (Feb. 22) from 6-7:30 p.m. to help inform the WVU community of the current resources and services available for women and families, as well as the potential impact pending legislation and court rulings may have on existing state laws.
The Wednesday (Feb. 23) Monthly Customers’ Group Meeting will review the Time Card and Leave Request systems and the guidelines supervisors need to be aware of when approaching time card cutoffs. Independent contractor determinations and agreements, hospitality guidelines and IT approvals will also be discussed during this meeting.
Employee Appreciation Day is Friday, March 4, and to celebrate, The WVU STAR Team has planned three “Appreciation Stations” on campus next week to help employees destress, relax and enjoy.
All instructors (full- and part-time faculty, graduate teaching assistants) are invited to join the Teaching and Learning Commons STEM Learning Community meeting March 4 from noon to 1 p.m.
The Humanities Center and the WVU Campus Read will host a group of WVU professors and alumni who have read “Maus,” studied and taught the book over the past 30 years for a lively discussion of Art Spiegelman’s Maus, censorship and the role of the Humanities in helping us better understand the world in which we live today (Feb. 21) at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
