In celebration of Healthcare Simulation Week 2018, West Virginia University School of Nursing on the Potomac State College campus will hold a Community Open House. The event will be held Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the newly opened nursing wing located in the J. Edward Kelley Complex, the former National Guard Armory.

Concerns about women’s empowerment are a public health and policy issue in the U.S., Mexico and throughout the world. Using the sport of soccer, a WVU team aims to enhance young women’s empowerment through leadership development. The initiative is a partnership of the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and the Leadership Studies program in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.

West Virginia University’s annual observance of Constitution Day will focus on the right to an education. A panel of WVU Law professors will lead the discussion starting at 12 p.m. on September 17 in the Marlyn E. Lugar Courtroom at the law school.

West Virginia University Potomac State College will present “Constitutional Rights That Are Not in the Constitution” in recognition of Constitution Day on Monday, September 17, 2018. The presentation will be held from 5 – 6 p.m. in the Church-McKee Arts Center, and the community is invited to this free event.

The College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University has announced two appointments in leadership, one in the dean’s office and one in its graduate programs department. Javier Reyes, B&E Milan Puskar Dean, has announced the appointments of Dr. Elizabeth Vitullo to Assistant Dean of Strategic Initiatives, and of Dr. W. Constinia Charbonnette to Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs.
