Self Care Fair  

The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Student Government Association and Peer Advocate Program invite the campus community to attend a Self-Care Fair at the Mountainlair Green April 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair will be moved to the Mountainlair Ballrooms in the event of inclement weather.

Next week, the Office of the Provost will continue its monthly Campus Conversations focused on academic transformation topics and initiatives to engage the wider University community in dialogue about these efforts. The fourth session, “Academic Transformation: Graduate Education,” is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, at 11 a.m.

WVU community members are invited to participate in interview sessions with candidates for the founding dean of the new College of Applied Human Sciences. Five finalists will be on campus during the first two weeks of April. During these interviews, each candidate will give a presentation to share their vision for the College, as well as their research and leadership style.

Joy Harjo  

Faculty, staff, students and community members from across West Virginia are invited to attend a special evening with U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo tomorrow (April 5) at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms or virtually via Zoom. As an award-winning author, poet, editor, playwright, musician, internationally renowned performer and writer of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Harjo was appointed the 23rd U.S. Poet Laureate in 2019 and the first Native American to hold the position.
