A group of 24 College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences students hit the road to Indianapolis, IN for a multifaceted field trip, featuring a panel discussion, professional football practice facility visit hosted by a WVU graduate, and tips for career development.
The WVU LaunchLab – Beckley is hosting an Idea Pitch Competition on Thursday (Feb. 21) from 5 – 7p.m. in the Innovation Building, Room 101. Three students from Concord University and three from WVU Tech have been selected to conduct a four-minute pitch of a product or service to a panel of judges for a chance to win $5,000 in prize money to help them further develop their idea.
On March 16, students participating in the Advanced Topics in Forensic Science II classes, offered by the Next Generation Forensic Science Initiative, will have a rare and exciting opportunity. Lora Sims, a biometrics instructor from Ideal Innovations Incorporated, a worldwide forensic services provider and industry leader in biometrics, will come to WVU.
The African Music and Dance Ensemble will present its spring concert Sunday (Feb. 24) at 2 p.m., in the Falbo Theater of WVU's Creative Arts Center. The concert will be dedicated to Bernard Woma, who passed away unexpectedly in April 2018.
