The Teaching Learning Community's last session for the academic year will focus on a “how to” approach for personal branding for academics, including ideas and tips for creating a teaching portfolio and writing a teaching statement, Monday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Energy Express, a free six-week program that focuses on literacy and nutrition-based education and activities for West Virginia youths entering first through sixth grade, returns this summer for another year of educational programming. There will be 58 sites statewide, focused in West Virginia’s rural and low-income communities.
As WVU continues to scale up support inside and outside of the classroom for the thousands of first-generation undergraduates on our campuses, WVU FirstGen invites the community to virtually attend a presentation on advancing first gen support by the First Scholars Network today (April 26) at 1 p.m.
Come out to celebrate the second annual WVU Adviser Appreciation Day today (April 26), sponsored by the WVU Academic Advising Council and the Office of the Provost to honor our academic advisers on all WVU campuses. There are plenty of opportunities to show your appreciation in person and virtually to those who help ensure WVU students are successful in the classroom and beyond.
The Wednesday (April 27) Monthly Group meeting will discuss Open Enrollment changes and reminders and give a demonstration of our new and improved Community web page and our enhanced Knowledge Article feedback option. To accommodate schedules, we will host the meeting at noon and 4 p.m. on Zoom.
The Campus Recreation Youth Program has assembled free activity kits for employees who may be bringing their children to campus Thursday (April 28) for “Take Your Child to Work Day.”
