John Lonsdale, professor emeritus from Cambridge University, will discuss the depth and breadth of Kenyan history, periodization—beyond pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial history— and why an ex-imperialist is lecturing on Kenyan history. The event will be hosted by the Department of History Thursday, (March 28) at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair Rhododendron Room.
