The WVU Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America will host Wired and Wonderful: The Reach of Digital Storytelling Friday and Saturday (March 29-31) at the Media Innovation Center.
The conference boasts a 14-speaker line-up with representatives from General Motors, Capital One, Fleishmanhillard and the Chicago Cubs major league baseball team. They'll showcase how digital media is impacting business and the evolving landscape of integrated marketing communications.
For those interested in sports and adventure media, there will be a pre-conference event held Thursday (March 28) in conjunction with Adventure WV, WVU’s outdoor education program. Participants will participate in one of two adventure activities while capturing video footage on GoPro cameras. The footage will be used to create adventure trailers during a video editing workshop Friday (March 29).
Wired and Wonderful is open to all high school students, university students, academic instructors and industry professionals from all regions. Those interested in marketing, business, communications, journalism and media are encouraged to attend.
Learn more and register online. The pre-conference registration is an additional $20, but pre-conference participants do not have to register for the full conference to attend this activity and workshop.
