Messages of hope and thunderous applause resounded throughout the West Virginia University Coliseum and Canady Creative Arts Center as nearly 4,500 May 2022 graduates received their diplomas during 16 in-person commencement ceremonies filled with traditional pomp and circumstance May 13-15.

After navigating an unsteady world of events, as many as 4,500 new graduates will walk the stage at West Virginia University’s 2022 Commencement, which returns to the WVU Coliseum and Canady Creative Arts Center following two years of pandemic-restructured ceremonies.
The monthly Staff Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, beginning at 8:15 a.m. in the Rhododendron Room of the Mountainlair and via Zoom.
Today, the Office of the Provost will round out its monthly Campus Conversations focused on academic transformation initiatives. The fifth and final session, “Academic Transformation: Intercollegiate Incubator and Semester Wrap-Up,” is scheduled for today at 11 a.m.
Nearly 4,500 May 2022 graduates will receive their diplomas during 16 in-person commencement ceremonies Friday through Sunday (May 13-15). Each ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person; the webcast link will go live a few minutes prior to ceremony time.
This Thursday, the Office of the Provost will round out its monthly Campus Conversations focused on academic transformation initiatives. The fifth and final session, “Academic Transformation: Intercollegiate Incubator and Semester Wrap-Up,” is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, at 11 a.m. This session will be virtual only. The Zoom webinar will go live five to 10 minutes before the event starts.
