West Virginia University is marking National Hazing Prevention Week beginning today (Sept. 19) through Friday (Sept. 23) with local Hazing Prevention Week following next week. A series of events will be provided both in person and virtually for the University community.

The Africana Studies Program in collaboration with the Black in Appalachia Research Lab at WVU and the WVU Center for Black Culture and Research hosts a community read-out Wednesday (Sept. 21) as part of Banned Books Week.
Faculty, staff, students and other community members are invited to join the Women's Resource Center, along with the Center for Women's and Gender Studies, for a candid discussion with special guest, Judith Stitzel, founder of Women’s and Gender Studies at WVU, from noon-1 p.m. Friday (Sept. 23).
