Online graduate business programs in data analytics, the online MBA, and forensic accounting and fraud examination at West Virginia University have been recognized in the top 50 of the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Online Program rankings, as has an online graduate engineering program in information technology. Additionally, WVU’s online graduate program in education was ranked in the top 100.

Adult keyboard classes begin this week, at the WVU Creative Arts Center. The classes will meet, under instructor Carol Beall, on Wednesday evenings beginning Jan. 16. The session lasts 10 weeks and costs $145.66 plus processing fee.

The WVU Cancer Institute is joining organizations across the world to increase awareness of cervical cancer this January in recognition of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Cervical cancer diagnoses have increased the last 40 years as the result of many women getting regular Pap tests, which can find cervical precancerous cells before they become cancer.
Duncan Lorimer has been named the associate dean for research in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. The associate dean for external research development is responsible for leading faculty in research, research program development and intellectual property activities.
