The Nancy Sanders Memorial Faculty Research Abroad Grant focuses on the development or expansion of global health scholarly projects, including collaborative research projects involving faculty in different schools and/or institutions of Health Sciences willing to collaborate with their international colleagues on common healthcare related disciplines that are currently challenging in West Virginia. One award of up to $10,000.00 for one year is available for supporting faculty research collaboration efforts abroad.

The WVU Cancer Institute is among six organizations to receive an inaugural Medline Breast Cancer Awareness grant, which is awarded to organizations to further the mission to eradicate breast cancer and provide counseling. The grant drives awareness around prevention and early detection by providing support to organizations that provide direct patient care.

The 2018 NCAA Championship begins in Morgantown today (Nov. 15( at 7 p.m. ET, as the No. 17 men's soccer team hosts LIU Brooklyn in the first round at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.

Joined by more than 35 local schools, the No. 25 women's basketball team will host Bryant today (Nov. 15) as part of Education Day. The game will tipoff at 10 a.m. inside the WVU Coliseum.

The University is holding its second annual Day of Giving today (Nov. 14). The 24-hour online event raises money for scholarships and the greatest needs of WVU and individual colleges and schools. You’re encouraged to make gifts and sign donor thank you cards at the Mountainlair, Evansdale Crossing and Health Sciences Center pylons area from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today on the Morgantown Campus. A special Day of Giving event is also being held at WVU Tech in Beckley at the Chick-fil-a on Eisenhower Drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
