The WVU IDEA Hub is encouraging members of the WVU community to participate in the University’s second annual Demo Day April 25. Students, faculty and staff across all campuses, colleges and units, including the regional campuses, will have the opportunity to demonstrate their work in innovation, entrepreneurship or design. Register between Feb. 15 - March 1.

Participants will gain exposure across campus and to the broader community, while having the opportunity to win cash and prizes.

Individuals and teams, groups or entire classes can join in. Individuals and teams will have the opportunity participate in a “trade show” style event at the Evansdale Crossing building where they will have a table to display their work and speak with attendees about their idea or design. Some type of visual display is required, from posters or drawings, photos or video, to a physical or virtual prototype model or mockup. Attendees will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorites and cash prizes will be awarded.

In tandem with individual presentations, groups, classes and entire units will demonstrate their innovations in all disciplines through a variety of day-long activities. From pitch competitions, expos on social issues, interactive exhibits, prototype stations and engineering showcases, to fashion and design displays, lemonade stands and open houses, there are opportunities for all to join in and embrace innovation, entrepreneurship, design and inventions across WVU.
