The Mountaineers received an automatic bye into the Tournament’s Second Round and will compete on Friday, March 31, at the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh.
The Mountaineers are coming off a 5-0 road trip, winning two at Appalachian State before sweeping a three-game set at UNC Greensboro. On the trip, WVU outscored its opponents, 76-9.
Sophomore Grant Siegel and four relievers for the Mountaineer baseball team combined to throw a one-hitter Sunday (March 19), defeating the Spartans, 8-0, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
