The Mountaineers return to the Coliseum to face Iona tonight (Nov. 20) for the Gaels first visit to Morgantown and the first meeting between the two schools on the hardwood. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
Athletics
With the recognition, the Mountaineers’ 11 honorees advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America selections will be announced in mid-December.
The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will compete in the WVU Invitational through Friday (Nov. 22) at The Peak Health Aquatic Center at Mylan Park. Prelims will take place at 10 a.m. each day. Finals are slated for 6 p.m.
Due to expected inclement weather, the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament First Round match for WVU and North Florida has been moved up to a 5 p.m. kickoff on Thursday (Nov. 21) at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Priority tickets went on sale for Mountaineer Athletic Club members beginning at 9 a.m. today (Nov. 19). Ticket sales for the general public will begin at 3 p.m.
The No. 13-ranked women’s basketball team welcomes Bowling Green to the Coliseum for the fifth straight home game to open the season tonight (Nov. 19). Tipoff against the Falcons is scheduled for 7 p.m.
