West Virginia University Institute of Technology will officially open the U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall Congressional Archive with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 2) in Beckley. At the site is a selection of photos and records spanning Rahall’s 38 years representing the Mountain State in the U.S. House of Representatives.

On Friday (July 28), representatives with the Grow This: West Virginia Garden Challenge will attempt to break the record for “world’s largest gardening lesson” during the West Virginia Black Bears game against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers of Niles, Ohio, at Monongalia County Ballpark. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
The Provost’s Office will hold a virtual self-study preparation session from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday (July 27) for deans, directors, chairs and faculty who are involved in preparing self studies for this summer's program reviews identified in Academic Transformation. Participants can join the open forum via Zoom to address questions about strategy for their responses or the self-study form itself.
