Research Week  

The moderated panel discussion will delve into how researchers engage with and contribute to policy at local and national levels. Speaking at the event will be the directors of the Regional Research Institute, Bureau of Business and Economic Research, BRIDGE Initiative, WVU Institute for Sustainability and Energy and the Rockefeller School Institute for Policy Research and Public Affairs.

Balance  

The WVU Human Performance Lab is seeking participants ages 25-65 who meet certain criteria for this research study. Appointments will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22, in the Health Sciences Center, Room 8505.

Jayla Boyd and Lillian Floyd Researchers  

As Jayla Boyd and Lillian Floyd describe it, they were in uncharted territory when they arrived at West Virginia University for Brain Camp. By the end of the week, the soon-to-be high school seniors had discovered the complex world of neuroscience and were hooked.

Walter DeKeseredy  

Walter DeKeseredy, acclaimed sociologist and Anna Deane Carlson Endowed Chair of Social Sciences in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, will join colleagues at the University of Toronto for a webinar to discuss his latest book “Skating on Thin Ice: Professional Hockey, Rape Culture and Violence Against Women” at 3 p.m. March 20.

The Office of Student and Faculty Innovation will host Eileen Chant, program manager of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer, at 11 a.m. tomorrow (March 14) on Zoom.
