Nominations for the 2021 WVU Staff Council election open

The Division of Talent and Culture is accepting nominations for the 2021 WVU Staff Council election beginning today (March 12) through March 25, at 4 p.m.

Nominations are being accepted for the following positions, which will serve a two-year term:

  • Staff Council chair

  • Staff Council members representing each of the five classified staff job sectors

  • Advisory Council of Classified Employees representative

  • Staff Council Board of Governors representative 

Note: A minimum of two years of service on Staff Council are required for the roles of Staff Council chair and ACCE representative.

The nomination form is available on the Talent and Culture website.

Any full-time regular or part-time regular classified employee employed by the University as of Feb. 1, 2021, is eligible to participate in the election process. Eligible employees may nominate themselves or other classified staff members. Faculty, FE/AP, non-classified, temporary employees and student employees are not eligible to participate.

All employees eligible to participate in the election process should receive an email from Employee Relations with a link to the nomination form.

Classified staff who work at WVU Institute of Technology, WVU Potomac State College and WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Charleston Division are ineligible to participate in the WVU Staff Council election process except when voting for the Staff Council BOG representative, who serves all campuses.
