First Day Complete launches for fall semester

The WVU Bookstore’s First Day Complete program has launched for Fall 2026, providing all undergraduate students with their required course materials at a low, flat-rate price.

The program provides a lower-cost, lower-stress approach to obtaining required textbooks and other course materials on a rental basis, including lab manuals, access codes, and digital textbooks.

Students who participated in First Day Complete during the 2025-26 academic year saved an average of 24% on course materials.

Faculty and instructors are reminded to identify their course materials as soon as possible if they have not already submitted them. This information provides students with an accurate picture of anticipated textbook costs for Fall 2026 and whether to participate in First Day Complete.

Submitting your course materials also ensures that your required materials are automatically provided to students through the First Day Complete program, improving its effectiveness.

Course material adoptions must be submitted for each course in every instance, including:

  • Re-adoption of the same textbooks/materials already used for a course,
  • Changes to textbooks/materials,
  • Not requiring textbooks/materials.

To submit and confirm Fall 2026 textbook information, faculty/instructors should visit the Adoption Insight Portal as soon as possible accessible through the WVU Portal
