Of the Mindful Physician, an M.D. student organization studying the interaction between medicine and arts and humanities, will host a discussion on the role of physical therapy and occupational therapy in helping patients live with pain on March 22 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in 2118 HSC North. Megan Burkart, DPT, assistant professor of physical therapy, and Garth Graebe, OTR/L, assistant professor of occupational therapy, will lead the discussion.

For the second straight season, senior Elizabeth Gratz earned the sport of rifle's top academic honor, as she was named the Elite 90 Award winner for NCAA Division I Rifle. A native of Sigel, Illinois, Gratz, a marketing major, shows a 4.0 grade point average.

WVU student Matthew Byrd has taken his childhood hobby of collecting bugs and his interest in wildlife and turned it into a business. Byrd talks with Inside WVU today host April Kaull about Byrd’s and Bee’s Honey, its success and how he hopes the venture will do much more than create a lot of buzz.

 

STAR and STAR-related systems will be down for 24 hours starting at 12:01 a.m. Sunday (March 11), longer than the normal maintenance window, for critical patching. ITS is performing this work during spring break to minimize disruption.

 

The ITS Service Desk will be closed March 10, 11 and 17. The Service Desk is otherwise open 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday over spring break, resuming normal hours when the residence halls reopen Sunday, March 18.
