The West Virginia University Police Department is issuing a Community Notice advising caution after a black bear was reported in the Core Arboretum Tuesday afternoon (April 23). Officers immediately responded to the area and canvassed the trail but were not able to locate the bear. If you encounter the bear, call 911.
