Celebrate WVU Adviser Appreciation Day

Adviser Appreciation Day Graphic

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to come out and celebrate WVU Adviser Appreciation Day today (April 23). The WVU Academic Advising Council and the Office of the Provost are proud to sponsor the fourth year of honoring our academic advisers on all University campuses.

There will be plenty of opportunities available to show your appreciation in person and virtually to those who help ensure WVU students are successful in and out of the classroom.

Stop by an Appreciation Station from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on one of our campuses to mingle with advisers, jot down a note of gratitude to post on appreciation boards or send a postcard to your favorite adviser through campus mail.

Stations will be located in the Mountainlair, Student Rec Center, Health Sciences Center Pylons, the Quad at Potomac State College, Student Union if it rains, and the LRC Library Lobby at WVU Tech.

Not going to be on campus? Find links to a public Kudoboard for posting messages, downloadable graphics for Zoom and social media, as well as tips on sending private messages and emails by visiting the Academic Advising Council website.

You can also view inspiring statistics about our academic advisers and moving testimonials from students.

WVU Adviser Appreciation Day will also include the annual Advising Celebration at 4 p.m. in the Media Innovation Center, during which the 2023-24 Nicholas Evans Excellence in Advising Award recipients will be announced.

All are welcome to attend in person or virtually. RSVP to attend on Zoom.
