Participants are invited to register for the annual West Virginia Writers’ Workshop, which is designed to give writers at any stage of their careers the opportunity to improve their craft in a warm, supportive atmosphere. Registration will close July 5. The workshop, now in its 27th year, will be held on the WVU Downtown Campus and via Zoom from July 18 to July 21.

To operate more efficiently and cost effectively, the WVU Parking team will transition to cashless payments in all WVU-owned short-term parking lots on campus beginning July 1. Drivers may continue to pay for short-term parking through the ParkMobile app or by using a credit or debit card at a pay station.

R. Ivan “Doc P” Pinnell, who taught at what is now the Reed College of Media for nearly 25 years, passed away on June 14. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. tonight (June 25) at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home in Morgantown, and from 5-8 p.m. Thursday (June 27) at the Casto Funeral Home in Evans. Burial with full military honors will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
