Faculty, staff and students on all campuses may be unable to log into many important services requiring WVU Login credentials from 3-7 a.m. Sunday (May 31) for important upgrades to the single sign-on system.
Building on previous groundbreaking discoveries of rare earth elements in acid mine drainage from retired coal mines, the University is launching the WVU Rare Earth Elements Initiative to secure a domestic supply of these critical materials. WVU has also established Mission Critical Materials, a for-profit startup, to commercialize 10 years of the University’s proven AMDREE technology.
The Office of Student Accommodations is recognizing nine faculty and staff members for going out of their way to make the University more accessible to students with disabilities.
WVU will celebrate this year’s August and December graduates during Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 12. Spring 2027 graduates will be honored May 14-16, 2027. All ceremonies will take place at the Hope Coliseum.
