After monitoring events in Charleston and anticipating large crowds at the Capitol this week, West Virginia University and WVU Extension Service have made the decision to cancel the WVU Day at the Legislature event scheduled for Tuesday (Feb. 20).
Escalation Workshop is a powerful, film-based workshop that opens people’s eyes to the warning signs of relationship abuse. Other topics for discussion will include sexual assault, consent, bystander intervention and survivor support. WVU Title IX Peer Advocates will be present to facilitate discussion and provide support in safe space.
WVU President Gordon Gee will deliver a State of the University address Tuesday (Feb. 27) at 3 p.m. at the Ruby Grand Hall, Erickson Alumni Center.
Forty students from WVU and WVU Tech will showcase their research today (Feb. 16) in the Capitol Rotunda in Charleston. The WVU Office of Undergraduate Research coordinates the event, which involves students from colleges and universities from around West Virginia.
