The Foundation will honor donors on Tuesday (April 10) whose planned gifts over the past year will provide for the future of the University. Department of Forensic and Investigative Science Chair Dr. Suzanne Bell and her husband, Michael, are among the new Irvin Stewart Society inductees.

The David C. Hardesty, Jr. Festival of Ideas series will address African American English, the most controversial and misunderstood variety of speech in the United States, during a documentary and panel discussion titled “Talking Black in America” Tuesday (April 10) at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. The event is free and open to the public.
The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra invites families across West Virginia to hear it perform a classic with special guest Erik Ralske, principal horn for the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York.
Monongalia County 4-H Camp registration is now available. Early registration deadline is May 4; spots are limited and camps often fill quickly. Monongalia County offers three week-long 4-H camps for youth participants in the summer and all camps are held at Camp Muffly.
WVU Russian program will hold "Тотальный диктант" (a total dictation for native speakers of Russian) and TruD (a test for learners of Russian as a foreign language), on Saturday (April 14) at 4 pm.
The Department of Biology Spring Ephemeral Wildflower Walks will take place April 8, 15, and 22 at 2 p.m. These free, guided tours are a spring tradition at the WVU Core Arboretum.
