More than a dozen industry vehicles will be on display at “Touch a Truck: Mighty Machines and More,” an event hosted by the Royce J. and Caroline B. Watts Museum at West Virginia University on Saturday (April 14) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Downtown Campus Library will host two Wikipedia edit-a-thons in April. Both events are open to the public. Pre-registration is not required, but people should bring a laptop.
Justin Keene, assistant professor of journalism and electronic media at Texas Tech University, will give a lecture on "Complexity in Communication Science: Toward a Nuanced Approach to Media Effects” Friday (April 13) at 9:30 a.m. in the Mountainlair Student Union's Monongahela Room.
On Thursday (April 12), WVU will host a small competition for supervisors. Supervisors are being asked to treat their employees to something special. Use this as an outlet to show them how much their hard work means to you. Make sure you photograph your celebration and then tweet the picture to @wvustudentjobs from your departmental account. All submissions will be entered in a raffle for the chance to win a prize. Check back (Friday) April 13 on Twitter where the winner will be announced.
The next Science on Tap event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday (April 11) to at Morgantown Brewing Company. Dr. Jonathan Cumming, Professor in the Department of Biology, will speak about “Optimizing Bioenergy Production: Trees, Soils, and Soil Microbes for Minelands in West Virginia.”
Join us April 17 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Mountainlair Shenandoah Room for the next Front Line Professionals meeting. This month we will hear from Jeff Tice regarding plans for June New Student Orientation, AJ Emerling from ITS will give a brief update on DUO that all faculty and staff are in the process of transitioning to, and Maria Mancini and Donald Barnes from Talent and Culture will give an overview of the results from the WVU Culture Survey.
