The Department of Biology spring ephemeral wildflower walks will happen April 15 and 22 at 2 p.m. These free, guided tours are a spring tradition at the WVU Core Arboretum. Participants will learn the names of the flowers and some interesting facts about the flowers.

WVU will celebrate Earth Day with a full week of events and activities on campus from April 14 - 22.
The Office of Admissions is hosting a Decide WVU admitted student open house this Saturday. The event is campus wide and they are expecting more than 2,000 students and guests. Parking will be limited in the following areas: all Downtown Campus parking areas and all areas surrounding the Rec Center. Guests will be able to use the PRT.
In the session, held April 18 from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Mountainlair’s Shenandoah Room, we examine the fundamental aspects of the supervisor’s role in leading, developing and coaching effective work teams. We will delve deeper into group dynamics, how to improve dysfunctional teams and provide tools for providing recognition and coaching others. Learners will relate how emotional intelligence influences their capacity to lead and develop others.
Register now for the seminar, “Climate Change and our Changing Menu,” by Dr. Michael Hoffmann, Executive Director of the Cornell Institute for Climate Smart Solutions. The seminar will be held April 24 at 3 p.m. in the WVU Media Innovation Center, and will cover the basics of climate change and how the changing climate is affecting our globally interconnected and interdependent food supply including our staple commodities and our favorites like coffee, wine, and chocolate – just about everything on the menu.
The School of Music will host a jazz ensembles concert at 7:30 p.m. today (April 12) at the Creative Arts Center.
