An opening reception for the exhibition will be held at 6 p.m. today (Nov. 1) in the Museum Education Center at the Art Museum of WVU. The event is free and open to the public.

The subject of this month’s presentation is the Museum’s newest exhibition, “My Hero! Contemporary Art and Superhero Action.” Museum preparator Michael Loop will talk about the process of installing the exhibition, including creating a life-size web for Patricia Waller’s “Spider-Man” in the Museum’s galleries and wiring temporary walls for fluorescent art installations.
WVU Press and the WVU Humanities Center welcome Tim Jelfs from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands Friday (Nov. 2) at 4 p.m in Colson hall 130.

Jerry L. Wood, newly appointed Director of WVU’s Veterans Affairs, is the keynote for this year’s Veterans Appreciation Breakfast held at the Erickson Alumni Center Nov. 9 and will begin at 8 a.m. The theme is “Honoring Our Heroes.”
