University Army and Air Force ROTC cadets will recognize the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with a 24-hour vigil in front of the Downtown Library from 8 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 11) to 8 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 12).

The Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services is looking for volunteers to help with Fresh Check Day, an evidence-based program designed to support students’ mental health, from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 on the Mountainlair Green.
Taylor Brown, Riley Klug, Hannah Lamb and Clara Monson will receive up to three years of financial support — $20,000 annually — as they examine and study some of West Virginia’s most pressing concerns and challenges.
