The Office of Graduate Education and Life celebrated 41 new and returning graduate fellows at WVU during its annual Fellows Celebration held Sept. 25.
Richard Thomas, associate provost for graduate academic affairs, and Jessica Queener, assistant provost for graduate education policy, recognized graduate fellows for their esteemed fellowship awards and congratulated them on conducting groundbreaking research at the University.
Forty-one new and returning fellows from across the country were also recognized during the ceremony as they embark on their graduate studies for the academic year.
Mark Gavin, vice provost of WVU, and Sam Zizzi, Dr. Pat Fehls Endowed Professor in the College of Applied Human Sciences, served as honored guests at the reception.
Jessica Hovingh, Ruby fellow and graduate student in forensic and investigative science, and Isabella Martinez, Provost fellow and graduate student in English, also provided remarks on their experiences as graduate fellows.
