The four finalists vying for the title to represent the student body as the 67th West Virginia University Mountaineer Mascot come from a variety of academic backgrounds and are involved in an array of extra-curricular activities. All West Virginia natives, they will compete wearing buckskins and carrying the rifle in a cheer-off held during the men’s basketball game vs. Kansas State tonight (Feb. 18) at 9 p.m. in the WVU Coliseum.

Register for the Division of Talent and Culture’s Supervisor Essentials full day of learning Feb. 19 from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the Shenandoah Room at the Mountainlair. Held quarterly, we’ll cover topics that are transactional in nature and important to every supervisor. The theme for the day is Managing Employee Performance: Concepts, Best Practices and Strategies. We’ll have the person who knows the most about the subject walk you through the process, give you access to the tools you need, help you identify common pitfalls and provide you with a tip sheet and key contact if you have any questions after the training.
